MNA Board Meeting AGENDA: (6:30-7:25pm)

Introductions & Agenda Review (Michael Sonnleitner): 5 minutes

Approval of Minutes for August Board Meeting (Jennifer Tamayo): 5 minutes

Financial Report (Elaine Hakala): 5 minutes

Election Process: (Jennifer Tamayo) 25 minutes

NOTE:  Discussion & approval of the Election Process needed to proceed the October Board Elections.  This will help assure fair elections with maximum membership participation on October 10th.

Letter of Support for Zef Wagner’ Grant Request:  (Michael Sonnleitner) 5 minutes

NOTE:  Zef Wagner’s request for MNA Board support for a grant request was made prior to the August Board Meeting and deserves a timely response.

Letter relating to 536 NE 76th St.:  (Benjamin Kerensa) 10 minutes

NOTE:  Issues relating to use of this property have come to the attention of the MNA and were deemed by the Steering Committee worthy of being addressed in a timely manner.

MNA Committees:  Steering/Elections, Communications, Land Use & Transportation, Public Safety; Events:  Montavilla Street Fair, National Night Out, Montavilla Jazz Festival.

OR Measure 97 Bond Measure Presentation by Dale Hendricks (20 minutes)   

NOTE:   Measure 97 is easily the most contentious issue on Oregon’s ballot this November. In an effort to promote discussion regarding this proposed 2.5% tax on C-Corporation gross receipts in excess of $25 million/year, information will be shared and a lively pro & con discussion will be encouraged.
